EMD Performance Materials is currently seeking an Account Manager for their Cosmetics division in the Trenton New Jersey and Easton Pennsylvania Territory. As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Be part of the Global Cosmetics organization for our cosmetic portfolio, you will be responsible for some of our direct accounts as well as brands, Contract Manufacturers and consultants.
  • You will be responsible for understand the accounts to create tailor made strategies for them, creating the contacts and network inside of them, fostering new opportunities and assuring our business growth.  
  • You will identify local consumer trends and customer needs to develop our product portfolio with them and help for the global new product development.
  • You drive the essential topics as what should our value added proposition should look like and what kind of services we could offer to the accounts assigned to your territory.
  • Travel 60% of the time in the NY, NJ, PA or occasionally to the Midwest.
  • You will have a liaison to assist the sales team, and distributors with their pigment product line.
  • Working with R&D as well as Marketing and purchasing on products and trends.

  • Job Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, Master’s Degree/MBA preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of sales and /or marketing experience with an understanding of the cosmetics business
    • Senior sales and /or marketing expert with a solid educational background in B2B and B2C marketing.
    • Strong knowledge of the market, current trends and competitive landscape in the cosmetics business.
    • Proven track record of successfully driving marketing campaigns in a global matrix organization, able to see the big global picture while being the voice of the local customers.
    • Make 30 contacts per month.
    • Domestic travel up to 60%.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Pigment and skin color.
