Disbursement Specialist
Our Portland area client is looking for a Disbursement Specialist to join their payroll team. This role will process employee payroll and federal payments through their automated system.

Responsibilities of the Disbursement Specialist
Process and enter payroll data.
Respond to employee payroll and benefit inquiries.
Assist with invoice processing and reconciliation.
Assist with W-2 prep.
Review vendor payment and travel voucher disbursements.
Train coworkers on federal payments as needed.
Assist with system, policy, and procedure developments and implementation.
Monitor incoming correspondence.
Maintain payroll and federal payment records and documentation.
Copying, filing, and scanning as needed.


Job Requirements

Disbursement Specialist Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Business highly preferred.
5-9 years of accounting or finance experience required; bachelor’s degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
Knowledge of GAAP and federal compliance preferred.
Experience filing federal and state employer tax returns.
Experience with benefits and retirement processing and W-2 prep preferred.
Experience with system development and implementation preferred.
ERP systems experience required; SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft preferred. 
MS Office Suite experience with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; MS Office 2010 proficiency required.
Organized multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; can relay sensitive information with tact.
