Job Description

Desktop - Trade Floor Support (bilingual)

Open-ended, long term contract in The Woodlands for a Desktop Support Technician with trade floor experience.  We need this person to be fluent in both English and Spanish in order to be considered. 

Requirements:
Trade Floor Experience - Prefer someone with at least 5 years of experience but will consider someone with 2+ yrs depending on previous work experience.
Familiarity with Trade Floor applications such as ICE, CME, Bloomberg
Able to handle trade floor users, patience and great verbal communication
Able to provide follow up on open issues, for example, if something is escalated, follow the resolution and assure it is satisfactory to the user
Documentation skills and able to log incidents in Remedy ticketing system.

Customer-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with good attention to detail.
Highly self-motivated and able to work on own initiative whilst still being a good "team worker" by freely sharing information with others.
The ability to logically analyze and clearly document problems and decide on the best course of action.
The ability to explain complex technical issues in language suitable for staff that may not have much computer experience.
The ability to work effectively in a stressful environment whilst maintaining personal calm and control.
The ability to maintain good manners and a friendly demeanor at all times.
An ability to engender confidence in the provision of the IT support service.
The ability to take full responsibility for ensuring the correct and timely resolution of problems.
Good spoken presentation skills, required for training groups of staff.
The ability and desire to continue learning more about the technical aspects of the Organization's systems.
Support of Microsoft software, SQL, Lync2010
Troubleshooting and support of Microsoft Office Suite 2007 & 2010
Local Printers (installing and configuring)
PC Hardware, Ability to Deploy equipment, Move, Lift
Web browsing software, strong understanding of proxy, trusted sites, etc.
Mobile Phones/ Smart Phones / Tablets
Active Directory, basic account manipulation
Remote Tools: RDP, WebEx, LiveMeeting, MS Lync
Wireless Troubleshooting
VPN Troubleshooting

Desirable Knowledge:
Dell Hardware
Expert Windows 7 Troubleshooting
Exposure working with SCCM & PXE Boot
Understanding of Cisco IP phones, Cisco Call Manger
