In conjunction with the Pharmacy Manager, the Lead Pharmacy Technician will provide leadership and supervision to the team of Pharmacy Technicians, Trainee Technicians, administrative staff and other staff as delegated by the Pharmacy Manager. His/her duties may include coaching, supporting and mentoring the Pharmacy Technician team; assisting with the orientation, training, assessment and scheduling of the Pharmacy Technician team; and, coordination of the daily activities of the Pharmacy Technician team. In addition, the Lead Pharmacy Technician will work with the pharmacists, technicians and department leadership to develop workflows that are efficient, reliable and responsive to patient needs. He/she will take an active role in maintenance and ongoing process and service improvement efforts.

High school graduate / GED equivalent
Two years hospital pharmacy experience
Ability to operate a computer and use related software
Ability to work as a team member
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to establish, maintain and promote effective working relationships
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work flow and activities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Arizona Pharmacy Technician License

Two years hospital pharmacy experience
AZ Pharmacy Technician License
