Position Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, and travel requirements)

  • Assist in creating and updating electrical schematics.  
  • Assist in creating and updating electrical and automation engineering standards.
  • Assist in programming PLC and HMI software.
  • Assist in programming ABB Knowledge Manager Software.
  • Assist in various programming projects utilizing C/C++ programming languages.
  • Assist in upgrade of industrial process control system renovations.
  • Assist in implementation of virtualization of current physical hardware.
  • Educational Criteria

  • Full time student working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Electrical, Industrial or Computer Engineering is preferred.
  • Position Dimensions (i.e., communication skills, planning, teamwork, technical knowledge, leadership, initiative)

  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential, plan and execute diverse tasks at the same time without supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to gain commitment
  • Proven technical/professional knowledge

  • Internal and external customer focused and detail-oriented

  • Other Related Experiences Required or Preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Programming experience in C, C++, Java, or PLC ladder logic
  • Experience creating graphical user interfaces (GUI)
  • Experience in network management
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Experience in database management
