Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest Information Technology staffing firm, has an opportunity for an API Integration Test Engineer to work for one of our clients in Miramar, FL. This is a 9-month contract position. All candidates MUST be able to sit directly on Apex's W2.

API Integration Test Engineer Job Duties

  • Read and understand the API service specifications from the developer
  • Developing, documenting test cases
  • Develop automated test suites to cover all possible service use cases
  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings and work well with the scrum team
  • Provide test coverage and status reports 
  • API Integration Test Engineer Requirements

    All candidates MUST be able to sit directly on Apex's W2 and have the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Atleast four years of Experience in understanding RESTful services (HTTP/REST with JSON)
  • Hands-on experience in building automated service Test Suites and Test Cases using scripting languages (preferably Groovy)
  • Recent working experience with Ready API and Post Man tools
  • Strong experience with Confluence, Jira and Agile Methodologies
  • Strong Analytical and Critical thinking skills
  • Good reporting skills at providing reports related to test coverage, execution and fail/pass metrics 
  • Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of Container Orchestration Technologies ( Mesos DC/OD or Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of No SQL Databases (Cassandra or Couchbase )
  • Understanding of messaging technologies (Kafka, IBM MQ , TIBCO EMS )
  • Understanding of API Gateways ( Google APIGEE, IBM DataPower)
  • Understanding of DevOps Process
