Title: DevOps Storage Developer
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Duration: 12 month open ended contract
Pay: DOE

Job Description:
This position will require active collaboration with storage and backup engineers and other developers to assess automation solutions for ExxonMobil data storage and backup needs - selecting the appropriate solution, developing the appropriate processes & automation solution to meet those needs, and certifying the solutions for deployment. This developer will participate in all aspects of application development including work planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.

These activities include:
•    Collaborate with storage engineers in Storage technology evolutions including staying abreast of industry developments and actively participating in discussions with storage/backup vendors
•    Identify automation framework for our storage and backup platforms
•    Develop integrated processes and support tools for automated solutions
•    Participate in storage/backup automation certification activities , production deployment, maintenance and continuous support and improvements
•    Develop detailed deployment & operational documentation for the automation and processes/tools
•    Automated software provisioning, configuration management and application deployment through Ansible
•    Expertise in the installation, use, and maintenance of Red Hat Satellite, Puppet Enterprise, remote terminal emulation systems, and Centrify.
•    Experience programming in Perl, Puppet (Ruby), bash scripting, and C/C++
•    Knowledge of Red Hat CloudForms, application containerization, virtualization, and hyper-converged infrastructure
•    Knowledge or experience with Agile Development
•    Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters in keeping to committed schedules for deliverables to be implemented
•    User Center Design (user research, usability studies, interactive and visual design, paper prototypes and other low fidelity design methods etc.)
•    Build productive work relationships with customers and software developers
•    Prefer a minimum of five years of experience and end-to-end development and product support experiences, automating infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Puppet

Desired Skills:
•    Strong knowledge of storage and backup technology
•    Strong Windows Server and/or UNIX OS experience and knowledge
