Job Description

Our client in Essex County Massachusetts is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with all applicable procedures and regulations. The Quality Assurance Manager will maintain oversight of all aspects of day to day quality requirements to meet the expectations and requirements of customers. The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and drive the quality management system with focus on ensuring a sound quality culture as the first priority.


  • Develop and continuously improve the Quality Management System. Manage and perform quality system audits in order to identify system compliance risks and ensure data integrity of paper and electronic systems.
  • Responsible for the document management system. Write and revise quality policies and procedures for the facility and track training to new or revised procedures.
  • Review and approval of documentation including: validation protocols, procedures, policies, and change controls, periodic review and internal audit reports.
  • Develop and improve quality systems to ensure quality compliance.
  • Track and approve process changes taking place within the facility. Determine if change will affect quality and/or impact fixed practice agreements.
  • Develop and manage quality metrics to optimize performance, identify trends, and communicate to management.
  • Lead risk management activities and develop mitigation plans as appropriate. Determine and evaluate risks in the manufacturing process that will affect quality, safety or throughput.
  • Perform Risk Analysis and implement procedures or other mitigations to decrease risk.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams
  • Support, coordinate, and interface with regulatory agencies as required in support of regulatory agency inspections.
  • Keeps informed about current good industry practices and suggests areas of improvement
  • Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 Documentation.
  • Manufacturing background with experience in government contracting or aero defense.
  • Knowledgeable in computer system validation and related regulatory requirements
  • Experience in providing oversight in implementing and maintaining quality systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, planning skills and must work effectively within teams
