Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, weekly check/wire/credit card runs, and month-end A/P reconciliation. The candidate will also work with internal and external vendors to research and resolve all questions related to vendor invoicing and accounts payable accruals. This position will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager.


Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable in JD Edwards, ensuring that documents are reviewed for proper approvals and coding

  • Hourly payroll processing weekly and backup as needed Communication with suppliers and internal customers
  • Ensure clear and updated communications with all departments regarding AP policies and procedures
  • Review/Generate check/wire/credit card runs weekly, distribute & mail/fax
  • Review / processing of Concur Expense reports
  • Month end closing procedures
  • Complete 1099 data validation, processing and filing of returns
  • Reconciliation of G/L AP accounts
  • AP Accrual (work with Corporate Accounting Team)
  • Maintain goods received not invoiced report

  • Must communicate issues and follow-up


  • Bachelors or Associates Degree is a plus
  • A minimum of 7 years' relevant work experience with at least 3 years as a lead in accounts payable department
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years' experience on an ERP system such as JD Edwards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive in identifying problems and taking actions to resolve
  • Proven capabilities with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
