Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator

EH&S Coordinator position with a growing pharmaceutical company working Monday - Friday.  This position will be working Monday - Friday during the day, with flexibility to conduct safety training with employees on other shifts on occasion. Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Essential Duties:

Coordinates and maintains EH&S programs adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.  Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Conducts accident investigations.  Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office required
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable but not required
  • GMP knowledge highly desirable
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • Experience writing SOPs, Safety policies and procedures highly desirable
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing OSHA rules and requirements
  • 2 to 5 years’ safety experience, preferably in manufacturing environment.
