    THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Government Sales Manager
  • Government Bid Opportunities: Responsible for making sure we are aware of all government related bid opportunities in our service territory. Also responsible to identify government bid opportunities outside of our territory that may be of interest. Includes but not limited to any of the government E-Commerce web sites, to include the GSA websites.
  • RFP’s, RFQ’s, General Bid Process: Responsible for all government related RFP, REQ, and general government bid review, pricing metrics spreadsheet creation, bid preparation through owner signature, and bid submission deadlines.
  • Proposal Creation: Will work on any and all large scale proposals to include but not be limited to creating proposal templates, pricing metrics spreadsheets, research, review and submission within deadlines.
  • Government and Other Related Work Order Entry: Responsible for entry of all related work orders. Will work closely with other Sales team members and other departments to ensure accurate orders are entered when placed and invoiced properly and in a timely manner.
  • Conducts and reviews market conditions to determine customer needs, forecasted volume potential, price schedules, etc.
  • Operational Knowledge: Have a complete understanding of order fulfillment so that all critical items are covered and incorporated in to each customer order.
  • Complete understanding of the entire customer service process including order entry, complaint handling, inventory availability, service issues, and Accounts Receivable, as it relates to all government customers.
  • Outside Sales Support: Provide support as needed to all teams to increase efficiency and order fulfillment for all customers.
  • Use the various GSA websites to create, respond to, and follow leads.
  • Provide Single Point of Contact for group of assigned Government Customers.
  • Create proposals including cost estimating using basic spreadsheets
  • Be ready and able to answer any inbound telephone call, including redirecting to appropriate department if not Sales/Customer Service.
  • Educate customers on Operational Standards that enable 100% Customer Satisfaction.
    BACKGROUND PROFILE: Government Sales Manager
  • 2-5 years’ experience in government sales
  • Handle customer Management through email & extensive phone communication.
  • Create proposals including cost estimating using basic spreadsheets
  • Must possess experience with DOD, Fed Mall
