Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client is a global, independent fund administrator seeking a Portfolio Manager for their office in New York, New York (NY). A well-known firm based in New York, provides Top-Ranked Fund Administration, Middle Office Services, Integrated Risk and Portfolio Management.Summary:The ideal candidate for the Portfolio Management position will be someone with the drive to improve and refine the PMO process. This individual will serve as a macro level support system for the project managers, product managers, and application and infrastructure development teams. Working closely with the above teams, this person will drive productivity by allocating resources, focus those resources to high priority projects while managing their expectations for project scope changes. This candidate will be very familiar with both agile and waterfall methodologies as well as proficient using Microsoft Project Online or Microsoft Project Server. Working closely with many team this person needs to be organized, personable, and friendly yet can drive results.The ideal candidate for the Portfolio Management position will be someone with the drive to improve and refine the PMO process. Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • RMCP, PFMP, PMI-PMP, PMI-PfMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or other Project/Portfolio Management certifications helpful
  • 5+ years of successful project and/or portfolio management experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a governance role as part of a PMO with a strong emphasis on defining best practices and methods
  • Experience with resource planning
  • Experience with developing and tracking accurate Cost/Benefit analyses
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Online, or Microsoft Project Server preferred; Experience with other Project Portfolio Management systems may be relevant: Oracle Primavera, Planview, HPE PPM, CA Clarity

  • Experience with implementing Standards, practices and techniques of Project and Portfolio Management demonstrating a working knowledge of project methodologies (both Agile and Waterfall)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
