Job Description

SUMMARY

The Field Services Technician will be responsible for delivering and implementing mechanical solutions as integrated systems primarily to the US market with opportunities for global projects.  Direct customer interaction is a critical component of the position.  Position requires up to 75% travel

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Installation and maintenance of field-installed hardware at customer sites
  • Deliver field services in line with scheduling and budget expectations
  • Verify and complete scope of work for each site visit.
  • Verify acceptance criteria and obtain customer sign-off.
  • Maintain quality of service in line with management expectations
  • Attend training sessions as needed to maintain site access compliance.
  • Assist with documentation of hardware procedures, manuals, help file content, and knowledge base articles
  • Control costs in line with management expectations
  • Complete and maintain as-built documentation for all installations and post-visit reviews.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Random drug screenings required
  • Experience in chemical, oil & gas, or other heavy manufacturing required
  • Networking, communication, or electrical equipment installation experience a plus
  • Experience working in customer support environment
  • Experience with travel for work and representing the company in the field.
  • Experience in Safety, Health, Security, or Emergency Response Field a Plus
  • Interpersonal and problem-solving skills required
  • Effective communication skills
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 10 years of experience in related technical field
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general operations documentation and customer support submissions. 
  • Ability to write professional emails to customers, general business correspondence, and technical documentation. 
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, and vendors.
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS

    Must have a working knowledge of computers, corporate networks, and the ability to learn and install various software products.  Must have high level of proficiency in Microsoft© Windows and Microsoft© Office Suite as well as CRM experience.

    The physical demands described here are Technician of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift items with a weight of no greater than 50 lbs. Noise level of office environment is low to moderate.
