SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing service to the facility in order to ensure an efficient and effective operation and assist in keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Responsibilities include: troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns; perform preventive maintenance and adjusting equipment; perform maintenance on production line equipment, set up and break down production line machinery; perform certain lubrication functions. Other responsibilities include: check out and account for parts used on the job; fill out daily documentation that is required in SAP; perform any other tasks assigned which may include welding, fabricating, electrical, plumbing, painting and cleaning. Team member will serve as shift lead for all team members on crew. Team Member must have the ability to work competently and efficiently with minimal supervision, and work as a team member toward task accomplishments. Maintenance leads will be responsible for being involved in all maintenance functions for the plant, completing assigned work orders, keeping the shop clean and orderly, cleaning up work area after completing tasks, and perform preventative maintenance procedures on industrial forklifts, pallet moving equipment, batteries and chargers. Maintenance Lead will be responsible for sending send of shift email regarding immediate repairs, assist Maintenance Supervisor with projects, assist with Safety/GMP training for team members, and entering required information in work logs, PM's, work orders, and work notifications.
Education: High School Diploma. Experience: 1+ years of maintenance experience.
Computer Skills: Basic Computer skills required; knowledge of Tyson SAP software to make work orders and PM's preferred. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Basic math skills required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis; must be able to troubleshoot equipment; must be able to work in harsh environments for short periods of time (Ex: Heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, water, mud, etc.); must be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
