Current Need

The Network Technician will be responsible for the installation, modification, testing and servicing on all data communications network equipment.



Responsible

for monitor and troubleshoot communications hardware, circuits and cables for Pharmacy Solution's customers. The Technician needs to have some knowledge of ACLs, routing protocols, Cisco router command set, VPN tunnels, router configurations, and switch configurations. Providing first level troubleshooting for Cisco routers and switches demonstrating basic knowledge of networking topologies. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments

Note: This position will require evening hours Sunday through Wednesday two twelve hour/two eight hour days as well as holiday coverage

Requirements

1+ years network systems experience



Critical



Skills

  • Knowledge of ACLs, routing protocols, Cisco router command set, VPN tunnels, router configurations, and switch configurations.

  • Provide first level troubleshooting for Cisco routers and switches.

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of networking topics such as: network overall design and switch



    usage

  • Understanding TCP/IP protocol suite; TCP/IP working knowledge. OSI model.

  • Hardware Cisco routers and switches.

  • Circuit trouble shooting skills; troubleshooting physical connectivity issues

  • 24 hour shift environment, holidays, and weekends are required.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Wiring standards and cabling.

  • VPN's managed and shared.

  • MPLS experience.

  • Real

  • Additional

    Knowledge & Skills

  • Some knowledge of voice, data and LAN/WAN

    communications systems

  • Certifications/Licensure

  • CCNA and CCENT training

    or certification a plus



  • Education

    2-year degree or equivalent experience
