This is a work from home opportunity but the selected candidate must reside near an Anthem office, as you may need to work from the office as needed/required by leadership. The location preference for this position is Atlanta, GA, St. Louis, MO, Mason, OH, Virginia Beach, Virginia, or Wallingford, CT.
This position is part of the Pharmacy Transition Management Office focused on the migration of our pharmacy business. Responsible for working with pharmacy management to lead and direct programs and plans that support the achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Leads and directs high-priority projects requiring high levels of cross functional integration related to migration activities.
  • Responsible for coordinated management of projects over their entire life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).
  • Collaborates with executive sponsor and stakeholders, continuously reviewing, updating, and optimizing the project planning to ensure compliance with changing organizational strategies, goals and objectives. 
  • Monitors the project budget, scope, schedule and key performance indicators in order to address issues, risks & performance issues and assure achievement of intended project/program outcomes.
  • Communicates project decisions, prioritization, status & risks to the executive sponsor and stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment and optimum return on investment.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

    Job Requirements
    • Requires a BS/BA in a related field; 7+ years of project/program management experience; 4+ years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
    • Planning, project management, business analysis, and leadership experience is required.
    • Requires demonstrated experience in supporting large, cross-organizational projects in a Pharmacy setting.
    • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Project strongly preferred.
    • Expert skill level with Excel and PowerPoint required.
    • Comfort and skill in interacting with high level executive leadership required.
    • Ability to communicate complex scenarios to executive leadership required.
    • Vendor management preferred.
    • Ability to travel may be required.
    • PMP preferred
