Seeking candidates for proposal scheduled to be released on or about 1Q 2018BAE Systems in Middletown, RI, is seeking a full-time quality assurance manager to ensure product quality is realized at the Naval Undersea Warfare Centers Division Newport Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC). The selected candidate will be interfacing with our primary customer, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island. BAE Systems is an international leader in developing and delivering advanced aerospace and defense systems for military and commercial customers in the U.S. and around the world. This position reports directly to the Program Manager. Selected candidate will:

  • Analyze potential future needs and develop time-phased plans to acquire personnel, technology and equipment to support anticipated requirement
  • Execute action plans and initiate activity to reflect implementation of policy, specifications and standards
  • Analyze contractual quality assurance requirements and their relationships to company practices and procedures
  • Define company action to be taken and ensure implementation through the appropriate company functional organizations
  • Supervise Quality Assurance professionals
  • Responsible for hiring, counseling, training, developing and evaluating subordinates
  • Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education Typical education and relevant work experience: High School Diploma and at least 10 years of related/relevant work experienceSecurity clearance requirement: Active DoD Secret security clearanceAdditional experience/skills required:Strong customer focus and experience with relationship buildingAssessing and meeting customer quality requirementsExperience developing and implementing quality policiesFamiliarity with ISO 9001 certificateStrong organization and planning skillsAbility to initiate, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to operate independently and proactivelyWillingness to take on additional tasking and responsibility as requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong Computer skills Preferred Skills and Education Highly desired, but not required:Background in Engineering or other technical disciplineExperience working at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport and/or knowledge of Towed ArrayFamiliarity with towed sonar array general construction and fabrication techniquesFamiliarity with implementing safety requirementsPrior supervisory experience About BAE Systems Intelligence & Security BAE Systems Intelligence & Security, based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers.
