Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Waukegan, Illinois (IL) that is seeking a Cyber Architect.Key Activities:
  • Responsible for the security of data, applications, network, systems, end user devices and over all cyber architecture on premise or in the cloud
  • For large projects with multiple systems, the security architect is responsible for aligning cyber security solutions with business strategies, working with senior management and technical specialists across functional disciplines
  • The security architect coaches the application and technical specialists during the design phase in what and how their applications, appliances and/or solutions should be secured or mitigated against risk
  • They are responsible for existing security design of supported applications and over all infrastructure
  • Develops the architectural governance and processes for securing the enterprise data, solutions, and/or infrastructure
  • Aligns cyber security with the business needs and objectives
  • Consults on major systems strategies and implementations
  • Job Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (threats, vulnerabilities, risk, confidentiality, integrity, availability, cryptography, network security, web security, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of industry standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/02, CIS Top 20 Critical Security Controls (formerly SANS), etc.
    • Ability to present to diverse business and technical audiences and -sell- cybersecurity to those who may not be educated on cybersecurity risks impacting the business
    • Innovative thinking to develop new ideas and create solutions to better help the organization
    • Excellent teamwork, leadership, and service skills
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
    • Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and applications
    • Preferred experience in Cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
    • Preferred experience in IAM (technologies such as PAM, Cyberark, SafeNet, etc.)
