We’re currently looking for a Manager, Information Security- Security Architecture to join our team in Franklin, TN. This position will be responsible for driving forward strategic initiatives representing security solution architecture, and helping champion solutions with key business and technology stakeholders. This is a highly visible opportunity to leverage significant architecture and expertise.

Job Requirements:

  • TRAINING – Develop and conduct training for developers and others on application security.
  • SECURE DESIGN & CODING – Design and develop a complete secure development lifecycle and secure design and coding standards. Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, research information security standards, conduct system security and vulnerability analyses, and identify integration issues. Develop and provide guidance during architecture design activities of new and existing applications; this includes risk and impact assessments and ensuring adherence to documented company standards, policies, and regulatory responsibilities. Anticipate barriers to change and create opportunities to remove them.
  • PARTNER & THIRD PARTY INTEGRATION – Coordinate the development of contractual agreements for suppliers that articulate minimum secure coding and development requirements.
  • REPORTING & COMMUNICATION – Coordinate reporting and communication of Information Security team results to executive management, Information Systems, and business units. Act as the subject matter expert on strengths and weaknesses of the systems and recommend improvements to both software and hardware.  Identify security architecture capabilities and design security architecture patterns to mitigate threats.
  • MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES - Has exempt subordinates or contractors. Supervises and provides leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development; interviews and selects unit employees; plans and evaluates employee performance; counsels and disciplines employees as necessary; recommends termination when appropriate; and monitors time and attendance of subordinates.
  • INFORMATION SECURITY-Knowledge of security architecture concepts and enterprise architecture reference models. Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  • COLLABERATION-Ability to work well with others, work collaboratively on projects and incorporate multiple points of views into projects and tasks. Skill in design modeling and building use cases (e.g., unified modeling language). Skill in designing multi-level security/cross domain solutions. Skill in translating operational requirements into protection needs (i.e., security controls).
  • THOUGHT LEADERSHIP-Driven to make the organization the ‘best in class’ through constant research, learning, and innovation. Thinks and acts strategically instead of tactically within their department. 
  • COMMUNICATION & TRANSPERANCY-Communicate honestly by telling the truth and letting people know where you stand. Avoids management chain surprises.
  • PERFORMANCE & ACCOUNTABILIIY-Meets or exceeds the department’s aggressive goals. Holds self-accountable first, & others second; takes responsibility for results, good & bad.  Skilled in evaluating the trustworthiness of a supplier and/or product.
  • MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree

  • 10 + years or more of relevant work experience
  • 5 + years of direct management experience
