The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer applications. Provides guidance to Systems Analyst and serves as project manager for small and medium sized projects. Organizes all parties concerned to coordinate systems design and implementation.. Conducts special studies to assess sensibility of projects for automation. This position may require working at either campus.
Education: General - Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Some positions may require a specialized degree (example: pharmacy, nursing).
Experience: A minimum of four years work experience in programming, HL7, Data base management or clinical job function (depending on specific position). Previous experience in any of the listed areas; reporting requirements for Meaningful Use and/or Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) for Eligible Providers and Eligible Hospitals, familiarity with assisting practices and hospitals in attestation, report building experience in electronic health record (EHR). Candidate needs to have strong organizational skills, self-motivated learner who will research and stay up to date with regulatory changes. Will need to partner with ambulatory practices and operational leaders of the hospital to assist with communication and education. Analyst may also be required to assist with Quality initiative build as needed such as eCQM’s, ACO registry build, QRDA III and Patient Centered Medical home (PCMH).
Knowledge: Training in systems analysis and design techniques, written and oral communications, and special emphasis on user relations.
Skills: Excellent people skills required to effect change across multiple user departments. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with managers, executives and professionals. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized systems and its associated devices. *CB*
