Job Description

Description: The Release Managers works with Project Teams, Application Development Teams, Infrastructure Teams, Testing Teams and Change Management to ensure changes are deployed successfully to production. Core activities include understanding the scope of a release, creating RFCs, creating change implementation plan, documenting and mitigating risks, leading release cutover calls and working with Change and Problem management in root-cause identification. The Release Manager will work as a part of a centralized Release and QA team. This is an onshore contractor position located in CHICAGO. Candidate must already be located in CHICAGO and will not require a move.

Because some releases are implemented outside of the standard 9-5 work hour, the Release Manager must have flexibility in their schedule. Hours do not typically exceed 40hrs/per week but some release may need to be deployed during evenings and weekends.

The Release Manager will manage changes across environments from DEV to PRODUCTION, but will initially focus on changes moving to PRODUCTION.
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery, devOps, Agile delivery, CA CARA (tool), CA CDD required.
- Experience in supporting infrastructure releases required.
- Experience creating and managing RFCs required.
- Experience working with ServiceNow desired.
- Experience in working with offshore teams desired.

Strong communication and planning skills are mandatory.
