Kforce has a client seeking a bright, experienced, and driven professional to join as a Senior Event Programmer and play an important role editorially in our global events department. The position is based in Miami, Florida (FL). This is a great opportunity to deal with high-level business people, journalists, and academics.Key responsibilities include:
  • A highly responsible and senior role directly reporting to the Head of the Department; Working closely in successfully conceiving, executing and completion of key regional and global events
  • Draft and oversee agendas for all events; Liaise closely with events team, sales team and editorial team to ensure compelling agendas which are commercially driven
  • Moderate panels and travel to events as and when required
  • Research, identify, contact, and confirm speakers for the event
  • Identify potential sponsors and work closely with the sales team in securing sponsorships
  • Liaise with speakers and sponsors throughout the time leading up to the conference
  • Work with conference chairs and speakers in promoting the event
  • Brief and work closely with the Marketing Manager to identify appropriate marketing channels to promote all events
  • Research competitor events and identify their strengths and weaknesses
  • Run the event on the day and network with delegates including key and potential clients
  • Job Requirements


    • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
    • Experience in newspaper/magazine/on-line reporting and writing
    • Experience in public speaking a plus
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
    • Strong understanding of Latin American financial markets, business, economics, and politics
    • Fluent in Spanish both written and verbal a must /Portuguese a major plus though not necessary
    • A self-starter, ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
