Job Description Job Description BAE Systems is developing systems in the domain of Electronic Warfare (EW). Motivated, positive minded, and challenge seeking engineers highly skilled in Digital Signal Processing are needed for cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will involve developing new Electronic Attack (EA) techniques for communication signals with application in Electronic Warfare systems and performing systems engineering functions such as analyzing signals, performing trade studies, developing and validating EA techniques in a laboratory environment, and performing systems level integration and test of EA techniques.

Responsibilities may include:

1. Performing one of more of the following systems engineering functions:
a. Analyze and model current and emerging commercial and military communication systems
b. Develop and test techniques for identification and Electronic Attack of communication signals
c. Develop and document system level operational concepts and requirements
d. Develop implementation strategies for integrating EA techniques into existing product architectures
e. Perform lab execution, integration, and analysis of EA techniques
f. Perform system level integration and test of EA systems

2. Collaborate with groups in the intelligence community and DoD to gather information on signals of interest and develop and validate Electronic Attack techniques

3. Preparing and/or delivering technical presentations to internal and external customersTypical Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education Required Skills: Digital Signal Processing and Digital Communications:
  • Understanding of communication system operation and employment
  • In-depth understanding of signal processing techniques for signal analysis and waveform generation
  • Ability to analyze and model RF communication links
  • Ability to effectively document, communicate and work with a team on designs, results, reports and presentations

  • Preferred Skills and Education
  • Specific skills within the Electronic Attack (EA) domains of Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, SDR)
  • Matlab
  • Windows/Unix/Linux OS
  • Active TS Clearance
  • Experience with Software Defined Radios
