BAE Systems is looking for well-qualified professionals to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the readiness and sustainment of the USAF ICBM program through acquisition of a replacement to the Airborne Launch Control System (ALCS). The ICBM System Program Office must ensure a safe, secure and reliable MM III weapon system as required by the war fighter (Air Force Global Strike Command) through 2030. This contract augments organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs. Position is located at or near Hill AFB, Utah; however, remote site arrangements may be possible for a highly qualified candidate.

This role will provide a combination of Nuclear Surety Engineering related services. The successful candidate will:

• Perform as a member of an integrated product team providing nuclear surety support for Air Force Strategic Systems, including monitoring for compliance with applicable Department of Defense, United States Strategic Command, and Air Force directives, manuals and instructions.

• Provide mechanical / electrical / chemical and related engineering services.

• Support Program Manager in the execution of their duties.

• Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex problems.

• Provide technical leadership of all phases of design analysis, development, integration and implementation.

• Be capable of determining independently the appropriate use of technologies in solving problems.

• Assist with minimizing and managing the risk that counterfeit or maliciously altered parts may enter and degrade the nuclear certified system or introduce unknown content

• Review and provide assessments on Nuclear Certification Impact Statements (NCIS); Certification Requirement Plans (CRP); the Program Protection Plan (PPP), Nuclear Safety Analysis Reports (NSAR); Nuclear Surety Evaluation Reports (NSER); Nuclear Surety Briefings, Point Papers, and White Papers; Safety & Nuclear Surety Technical Memoranda; source data for ICBM Technical Orders; and changes to the Master Nuclear Certification List (MNCL), Nuclear Certification Plans (NCP), Engineering Evaluation Reports (EER), and Software Certification Plans (SCP)

• Review Technical Order change recommendations and Engineering Technical Analysis Request

• Travel occasionally to and from customer sites to provide or receive status updates on various programs

• Performs problem solving in areas that require expertise and knowledge in areas of specialization and related fields.

• Evaluates plans, reports, requirements, and criteria from a technical perspective for a variety of technical activities and recommends alternatives as required to comply with customer and company obligations.

• Assists in the development of solutions to specific problems; establishes technical approach, selects and pursues courses of action necessary to explore subject area and obtain required results. Assist with testing and test planning.

• Performing various other duties as assigned by senior management

Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems

• Current U.S. Government security clearance required

• Experience with ICBM weapon systems, nuclear storage facilities, nuclear surety requirements, or military technology and technical data

Preferred Skills and Education

• 15+ years experience in Nuclear Surety Engineering in various aspects of system design, configuration control, etc.

• At least 6yrs progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.

• Must be able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and organize daily tasks with no supervision; strong communications skills (oral and written); proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products as well as Solid WOrks 3D, No Magic's Cameo System Modeler and Primavera
