Position Summary

This position provides overall leadership and management for the Marinette folded and rolled converting lines.  This asset leader role will drive results through lean principles with accountabilities in safety, delivery, quality and cost.  The incumbent reports to the Product System Leader.  They will have a broad operations responsibilities for technically complex converting processes, used for producing a range of rolled and folded consumer packaged goods.  The incumbent provides leadership for teams which typically include hourly and salaried members with cross-function representation.


  • Safely and economically produced quality products for KCP and Family Care businesses
  • Manage 5 assets (2 folded / 3 rolled) which includes proper preventative maintenance scheduling / optimization
  • Organize crew staffing to support business objectives
  • Collaborative support in Product System and Site management
  • Create a positive work environment maintained to promote safety, housekeeping and human relations
  • Participates in the development of others within the area of the incumbent's expertise
  • Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Working knowledge of KC Safety requirements and EHS systems and standards.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of the KC quality requirements for converting assets
  • Broad knowledge and significant experience in operations/maintenance and project management.
  • Ability to provide coaching for performance and career development to both the Hourly and Salaried teams.
  • Ability to manage vendor/supplier relationships in a positive cost effective manner.
  • Led the development of Asset objectives and goals and action plans to achieve them.
  • Managed in an environment where success was achieved more through leading others than possessing technical knowledge.
  • Managed to a planning horizon of one year or more.
  • The ability to lead organizational change, build relationships and make good use of available resources.
  • Lean experience with Strategy Deployment, 4-step problem solving, visual management, TPM and 5 S.
  • Able to confront problems and handle conflict
  • Able problem solve and set priorities and generate new ideas and improved ways of working while maintaining effective control.
  • Able to demonstrate "World Class Leadership Practices" as well as the KC One Behaviors.

  • Qualifications described above
  • 6 years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years of leadership experience
  • Have experience in more than one facility, sector and function and will have developed a working knowledge of sector staff activities
  • Worked in High Performance Work System
  • Experience with working in Union environment
  • Full working knowledge of "Culture of Accountability"
  • Full working knowledge of ISO.
  • Have understanding of "Full Potential Thinking" and Gap Closure activities
    Demonstrated continuing self-development (i.e., progress toward an advanced degree or certificate).
