We have an exciting opportunity for a Culture and People Development Professional / HR Generalist to be a member of our highly successful team at Baldwin Technology headquartered in Clayton, Mo.  We are a subsidiary of the Barry-Wehmiller Company which is a $2.3 billion multinational organization with over 11,000 team members world-wide. 

As a part of the People Team, this role provides leadership and/or support in all areas of Culture and People Development to help achieve business objectives consistent with our people-centric culture.  This includes but is not limited to talent acquisition, on-boarding, goal setting, performance, safety, wellbeing, compensation and benefits, training, leadership development, personal development, succession planning, and off-boarding.  This position will serve locations in Arlington Heights, IL, Milwaukee, WI, St. Louis, MO, Fairfield, IL and/or Lenexa, KS. Responsibilities include:

  • Works with Barry-Wehmiller, Baldwin Technology and local leadership to align programs and processes with the strategies, goals of the business and strategic people vision.
  • Understands, models and communicates the Barry-Wehmiller L3 culture and how to integrate it into the Baldwin culture.  Assists in developing an inspirational leadership organization and coaches team members in building trusting relationships.
  • Works with leaders to anticipate and meet the evolving needs for talent acquisition and development and ensuring people-centric, sustainable processes and practices to support. Includes but is not limited to:
  • Provides full life cycle talent acquisition of individuals that meet the technical aspects of the job and have the ability to work within and evolve the culture of the organization. 
  • Champions a positive experience for those invited and not invited to join the organization.  Promotes equal opportunity for all candidates and existing team members.
  • Develops networking relationships and utilizes creative sourcing methods to expand visibility and network for potential candidates and minimize time to fill when openings are approved.
  • Works with hiring leaders and helps facilitates off boarding for a good experience and business transition.  Conducts exit interviews to identify opportunities for learning and continuous improvements.
  • Oversees and coordinates onboarding to provide opportunities and an environment that supports learning and bonding with our business and culture so team members are contributing as early as possible.  Works with hiring leaders to leverage standard processes and to ensure individualized onboarding and development plans.
  • Provides training and coaching in relevant skills, processes and improvements in alignment with the goals of the business and the L3 Vision.
  • Leads and/or participates in various CPD areas and/or strategic initiatives.  Maintains, develops and/or monitors related performance metrics to gage trends and progress to goals.
  • Guides and coach’s leaders and team members to help them consider and appropriately address issues that present an obstacle to success.  May lead and / or assist in investigations and team member related corrective actions as needed.
  • Administers, utilizes and leverages Workday for high operational and team member value.
  • Assists in assuring programs and practices aligned with employment compliance.
  • Performs other responsibilities as needed.
  • Qualifications:

    Education:             

    Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business or a related field.

    Experience:

    3+ years progressive and broad Human Resources / Organizational Development experience including demonstrated success in talent acquisition, onboarding and making continuous improvements.  Experience training and coaching leaders and others.

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and compensation administration.
  • Excellent computer skills with various applications including Microsoft Office Suite and strong keyboarding skills
  • Other:

    Flexible to work beyond and/or outside of regular working hours if necessary.  Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.  Valid US driver’s license and a good driving record.
