Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Project and Grant Accountant in Boston, Massachusetts (MA).Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain capital budgets
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconcilements, and analyze P & L
  • Create and review reports for accuracy; research, verify, and implement resolutions for any discrepancy
  • Prepare and post journal entries for outside deposits and check requests
  • Serve as the Finance liaison on grants
  • Maintain files related to special projects
  • Review grant proposal budgets
  • Assess compliance requirements for grants
  • Provide support for auditor
  • Support other tasks, as assigned
  • Job Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 3+ years of experience in accounting with nonprofit background preferred
    • Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge is a plus
    • Knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and internal controls
    • Knowledge of state and federal grant administration
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
    • Strong communication skills
