Job Description Job Description Senior Systems Engineer to provide both Systems Engineering Management and Individual Contributor support the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions Product Line within the Survivability, Targeting and Sensing Solutions Business Area.
The Systems Engineering Manager (SEM) establishes and controls the system technical baseline. The SEM performs comprehensive planning & execution of all Systems Engineering activities in accordance with internal and customer process requirements. Establishes/Maintains/Updates Systems Engineering’s budgets, schedules, and staffing plans. The SEM also defines/manages Systems Engineering’s Risks & Opportunities. Ensures proper preparation, execution and completion of System Reviews. The SEM is responsible for integrating the system and for verifying that it meets contractual requirements, as well as performing continuous validation. Execute Systems Engineering Staffing Plans – Including Staffing Ramp-Up and De-Staffing. Ensuring Systems Engineering work products, specifications, analyses, models, trade studies, technical plans and procedures, briefings, etc. are comprehensive and complete. The SEM also defines, collects, analyzes, review’s Systems Engineering metrics.
The Individual Contributor performs system engineering tasks including, but not limited to, architecture design, CONOPS development, requirement definition, requirements analysis, requirement allocation, requirements management, specification development, interface definition, trade studies, verification plan and test procedure development, integration and test, and system verification and validation. Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education - Successful candidate must possess strong organizational skills, SEM experience, and Systems Engineering individual contributor experience over the program life cycle.
