Job Description

We are seeking an IT Security System Administrator on behalf of our client in the Meridian, ID area. The best candidate will have two years in identity and access management and security administration.


  • Manage, configure, and process data access requests.
  • Interact with the user community to understand their security needs on a project and task basis.
  • Weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures during system configuration and in completion of access and security requests. Identify and report security violations.
  • Ensure that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
  • Complete manual security and provisioning processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and data access issues.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Document, update, and maintain security controls
  • Provide security project support to project teams and participate in security projects.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Manager.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related courses in business administration
  • Knowledge of open databases (Sybase, MS SQL Server, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Incident response concepts and processes
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and related compliance (e.g. SOX, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security and risk frameworks (e.g. NIST, SANS, HITRUST, ISO, CoBIT, etc.)
  • One or more technical or security certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, etc.)
  • Experience in system administration and technical support
