Minimum Requirements Include:  


Must be US Citizen

Must pass background check 

Must be local to area -no relocation 

High School Diploma or GED required

2+ years hands on mechanical inspection experience.

Experience using comparator, veniers, calipers, gages and micrometers to perform inspection tasks unassisted.

Ability to read a blueprint.

Knowledge of measuring devices to perform dimensional inspections.

Familiar with industry standards such as API, ASTM, ASME, and ISO. ASNT Level II Certified to perform UT (Straight / Angle Beam Flaw Detection), MT, and PT inspections.

Ability to use computer system with all associated software, including statistical and email communications applications.

Ability to use mathematical concepts and statistics to solve cross-functional process and/or product related problems.

Ability to identify the root cause and solve practical process and product related problems in a Service/Manufacturing and Engineering environment.

Ability to perform hands on 3 dimensional visual and mechanical inspection and evaluations of machined parts, and assemblies.

Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.

Ability to keep accurate records. 

This position is responsible for non-destructive testing on manufactured parts and equipment.

Performs non-destructive testing on parts and equipment on-site and at vendor sites.

Performs Hardness Tests to establish conformity to material standards Witnesses Hydrostatic test and Factory Acceptance Testing.

Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged.

Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, calipers, oscilloscope and visual inspection prior to shipment coordinates visits by third-party inspectors.

Interfaces with other departments and personnel from certification agencies.

May participate on the Quality Control Committee. Prepares NCRs and NDT test reports.

Wears proper safety equipment.
