The Planner IV schedules and coordinates the efficient distribution of products for production schedules and customer demand. The Planner IV conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. The Planner IV analyzes and revises shipment plans as required. The Planner IV works with other departments to ensure accuracy of shipment records. The Planner IV determines reorder points and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained. The Planner IV analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly. The Planner IV ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct. The Planner IV provides financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories. Additional duties may include:
Acts as lead to ensure security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review to maximize customer service level, inventory productivity objectives and contractual obligations. Both statistical and collaborative forecast methods are used to manage significant investment level material plans for the company. Product lines involved are generally long-term contracts with specified service level and generate a significant investment impact. Uses specialized knowledge of the assigned product lines and market intelligence to conduct forecasting analysis. Maximizes inventory productivity through effective investment and service level trade off analysis. Has purchasing authority within the limits of established forecast and planning parameters necessary to sustain the company service level objectives and supplier/customer commitments. 
Analyzes a wide range of issues of diverse scope and corrects cycle count discrepancies. Evaluates performance against target; develops and implements root cause and corrective action plans for continuous improvement. Oversees excess and obsolescence audits; develops and implements recommendations.
Leads regular performance review meetings.
Serves as the focal point for issues related to the system and corresponding business processes. Develops continuous improvement plans and leads audits to include strategic actions intended to enhance inventory productivity while maintaining target product available.
Provides oversight and mentors other team members. Develops and maintains current training for assigned team.
Leads special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsEducation Requirement: Bachelors Degree in related field. Master's preferred
Required: 6 to 8 years related experience.
Travel: Up to 10%
