Performs a variety of Controls and Instrumentation engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of facilityor powerplant component and system upgrade projects and plant modification projects. Independently evaluates, selects and uses standards, techniques, procedures and criteria. Must have experience working on an interdisciplinary team; be capable of leading and motivating engineers and designers to successfully achieve project milestones.
Lead Instrumentation and Controls Engineer work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, direct and support the development of project modification packages, design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering. Responsible for all I&C related schedule and budget activities as well as ensuring conformance to applicable plant, NRC, and engineering codes and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
B.S. degree in engineering with 10+ year’s nuclear experience, PE desired
Facilityand/or Nuclear Modification Experience
Equipment and System Design Experience
Familiarity with digital control systems/upgrades
Experienced in design reviews and design review preparation.
Prior on site work at facility or utility site
Experience with controlling schedule and budget for assigned tasks.
Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Education Level Bachelors Degree
