IT Systems Administrator

•Installs new server hardware and software according to standard operating procedures.
•Maintains and understands systems, regulatory requirements, and security interdependencies of hosting systems.
•Actively participates in hardware and software configuration and change management processes.
•Participates in system disaster recovery tests, in accordance with company policy, to ensure data integrity and availability.
•Documents system designs and architectures using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
•Monitor and maintain firmware levels on server and storage components across the enterprise.
•Monitors systems and provide information and statistics and/or take action on system performance and capacity alerts for items such as CPU, RAM, storage, etc.
•Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
•Provide support for escalated issues from support technicians
•Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
•All other duties as assigned.
