ManTech International Corporation is seeking a Cloud Engineer to be part of the Chantilly, VA office.

Define, deploy, administer and manage next generation cloud and hybrid cloud technologies for a dynamic federal systems integrator. This opportunity will enable the candidate to manage cloud operations through various tool sets and define best of breed technologies to meet project specific mission goals.

This position is located in our Chantilly, VA office and requires past cloud (public and private) administration experience with a proven track record of administering and managing a hybrid cloud environment for an enterprise.

Must be comfortable implementing and managing new services, architecting environments, addressing complex solutions, aiding customers in migration activities, evaluating new technologies and speak to high level to the solutions benefits, costs and anticipated return on investment.
Must have the ability to assess current information technology environment and determine best path forward for the changing environment. Be the focal point for operating a cloud management platform.

Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:

• Develops and tests machine images for use across various hybrid platforms;
• Estimates and reports on actual monthly cost expenditures per platform;
• Analyzes costs and aids customers in modifying parameters for most efficient usage of the respective platform;
• Defines common cloud architectural standards;
• Provides technical support where applicable to ensure successful project outcomes;
• Develops, implements and manages cloud security tools and processes;
• Implements new tools, technologies, solutions and methodologies;
• Assesses risk factors and limitations of current systems identifying areas of opportunity for cloud mitigation and improving system performance;
• Evaluates best cloud option for hosting various workloads;
• Understands security as an integral part of the solution by establish technological approach to align with government contractor information security requirements;
• Evaluate vendor products for analyzing best fit and function to meet strategic initiatives;
• Experience integrating diverse technologies into existing, legacy infrastructure frameworks;
• Thorough understanding of networking, systems engineering, application dependencies for ensuring a thorough integrated migration approach;
• Determining operational approaches and associated business processes, such as provisioning, for optimizing implementation success for deployed technologies;
• Development of detailed design and configuration documentation for repeatability, security compliance and requirements traceability;
• Experience in the development of capacity management plans and operating thresholds and ability to implement tools and techniques to measure, monitor, notify and report on environment health issues;
• Experience in application virtualization, software packaging, or automation scripting to streamline provisioning and administration;
• Develops test scenarios and plans for ensuring repeatability, resilience, and administrative operations of integrated hybrid solutions;
• Diagnoses and resolves performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to project deployments;
• Organizes, captures and maintains vendor contacts for supporting remediation of large scale technical integration challenges and post integration emergency issues;
• Delegates and provides direction to other less skilled team members for implementation of lesser challenging tasks and focuses on larger, complicated issues;
• Provides guidance to application development teams on infrastructure limits and instance configurations;
• Supports development of security documentation for the Authority to Operate (ATO) process;
Position Requirements:
• At least one technical certification in either public cloud, networking, or hyper converged environment.
• Customer service oriented;
• Ability to pass a public cloud certification within 6 months of hire.
• Working experience with public cloud offerings from AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Prior hands on experience as a systems engineer supporting enterprise infrastructure.

Job RequirementsRequires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and ten to twelve years of related experience or Master's degree (in an engineering discipline) and seven to nine years of experience.
