The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Tampa, Florida as a short term temporary-to-fulltime role. Key responsibilities - Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data - Processing payroll for 450 employees on a semi-monthly and weekly basis - Offer proper review and verification of source documents - Posting payroll transactions to the General Ledger - Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines - Maintain all updates of payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Perform other tasks as necessary - Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages - Supporting all internal and external audits related to payroll - Manage employee deductions and other liabilities - Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis - Put together summaries of employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to calculate all payroll liabilities - Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information - Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures - Handle all payroll information questions and requests
Job Requirements- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required - 2+ years of payroll experience - Expertise with internal controls - Garnishments payroll experience - Microsoft Excel experience - Proven knowledge of Workforce Time Attendance - ADP Workforce Now experience - Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience required - Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Prior experience working with collections/accounting software - Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria - Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills This position will offer from $45K to $50K on an annual basis, and excellent benefits.
