Assists in the development of a quality control program ensures that the procedures and policies are coordinated throughout the organization. Establishes testing policies and procedures for maintaining a program that will meet all quality control standards and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Develops quality controls plans or process control procedures that will ensure production of finished products which meet quality specifications and standards.

  2. Directs the continuing review of the quality control program and the formulation of new or revised procedures to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance efficiency on a company-wide basis.

  3. Supplies technical assistance to the sales and/or marketing functions in developing suitable products for customers or overcoming difficulties in the use of company products.

  4. Conducts research on product defects and recommends modifications in products or quality standards where warranted.

  5. Ensures compliance with required standards and governmental regulations. Must be able to demonstrate, justify or explain the QA program to representatives of governmental or other agencies.

  6. Evaluates raw materials, processes and finished products through audits and test data.

  7. Assists in the evaluation of new products and processes.

  8. Appraises non-conforming material received from vendors and advises disposition.

  9. Analyzes quality control reports to identify program areas needing corrective action.

  10. Travel is required.

  11. Other Duties may be assigned.
