Job Description Reporting to Vice President of Luxury Operations, Managing Director is responsible for managing the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals for the property in keeping with all corporate and brand standards of the Waldorf Astoria Chicago and the Conrad Chicago. In this role the Managing Director will demonstrate leadership in directing the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives, financial planning and analysis, and operations excellence. The key goals of the Managing Director are to maximize profitability and ensure guest and team member satisfaction. They are directly responsible for the success of housekeeping, front office, and food and beverage departments of the property including hiring, counseling, and evaluation. The Managing Director will be responsible for ensuring hotel implementation and compliance of Hilton Worldwide policies and procedures as well as Brand Standards. They will communicate with hotel owners and corporate offices, as required to accomplish these goals. Property Details: Waldorf Astoria Chicago:

  • What are we looking for?
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to attract, motivate, lead, inspire and direct a talented team
  • Minimum of ten years of work experience in the hotel industry, with a multi-disciplinary background
  • 5 years' experience as a General Manager, Area General Manager, Managing Director or equivalent managing luxury properties
  • 2 years' experience leading a property with multiple dining outlets, including fine dining, and banquet facilities
  • Experience managing complex owner relationships
  • Experience in a leadership role managing $40M+ annual revenue with 350+ rooms
  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking, written and oral, with the ability to customize the message to the audience (guest, team member, owner, and other stakeholders
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-property experience
  • Local market expertise
  • Global experience advantageous, working cross culturally with guests and team members
