Job Description Our client is currently seeking a Desktop Engineer to join their team in Washington, DC. This candidate MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD.
  1. The Desktop Engineer will create, maintain, and develop Windows 10 desktop images. 
  2. They will create secure desktop images in accordance to DISA/NIST/CIS guidelines utilizing Group Policy and Security Configuration analysis tools. 
  3. The Desktop Engineer will also create customized software deployment packages utilizing AdminStudio, System Center, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and Visual Basic scripts. 
  4. The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for managing System Center, deploying applications, software updates and generating reports. 
  5. Finally, the selected individual will be responsible for creating simple documentation packages which include requirements, detailed design, testing and implementation plans.
Education •Bachelor’s 
Skills/Certifications •The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience managing Windows desktops and developing images and software packages utilizing Microsoft SCCM and AdminStudio or WISE. •Experience working in a mid- to large-scale environment with at least 1,000 workstations is required. •Experience working with Security Technical Information Guidelines (STIGs) required. •Experience with Microsoft SCCM 2007 and 2012 •Complete understanding of the interaction with desktop clients and services such as Windows Active Directory architecture, authentication, Group Policies, DHCP, and DNS. •Must be knowledgeable in operating system deployment tools such as Symantec Ghost, System Center, Microsoft MDT, Sysprep, and Remote Installation Services, as well as packaging tools such as AdminStudio. •PowerShell, Visual Basic or other scripting skills preferred. •In addition to technical knowledge, candidates must possess strong troubleshooting skills and communication skills
