Kearney & Company has an exciting new opportunity for an Audit Remediation Senior Associate to join our Washington DC metro area team. The Audit Remediation Senior Associate requires demonstrated skills in accounting, audit and financial reporting assessments. Additional skills and experience include the following:

Required Skills:
  • Serve as an audit remediation associate applying federal regulations (i.e., OMB A-123 Internal Controls, A-11, and SFFAS) to improve operations in preparation for audits
  • Lead coordination efforts across the organization to obtain data for tracking assets
  • Drive remediation efforts by collecting asset documentation and preparing monthly journal entries
  • Perform analytics on financial and procurement data ensuring compliance with procedures and control objectives
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies
  • Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
  • Develop and implement an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately address risks
  • Contribute to delivery of engagement objectives, actions, and status reporting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or business related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across both business and technical deliverables
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team as required
  • Advanced MS Excel and/or MS Access skills
  • Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance (Requires US Citizenship) and also requires ability to obtain DHS Suitability
