Job Description Are you looking for the opportunity to function as both an HR professional and a strategic partner?  Saddle Creek’s Human Resources Managers deliver excellence in the implementation of all human resources programs and practices, fielding employee relation issues and developing solutions to fulfill employee and company needs, as well as ensuring high quality strategic HR deliverables are met to manage change and support company growth.  This position will be based in a Saddle Creek location west of the Atlanta metro-area.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

An individual contributor responsible for building strong relationships at all levels within each assigned organization and the HR team, including multiple locations within and outside the Atlanta, GA area in order to:

  • Effectively lead day-to-day decisions about people which are consistent with company values
  • Timely and consistently respond to daily requirements for reporting, analysis, compliance, performance management, investigations, recruitment and selection
  • Encourage and facilitate organizational development for employees via learning and development initiatives
  • Coach individuals and teams to higher performance
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, effectiveness, and perceived value
  • Facilitate change management
  • Promote employee morale through individual relationships and effective two way communication
  • Partner with management to create a positive working environment where employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to perform at their best
  • Personally contribute to business goals and function as a member of the management team
  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent
  • Three to five years of HR Generalist experience with increasing HR responsibilities, preferably in a light industrial environment
  • Solid understanding of the current labor relations environment and trends in the industry. 
  • Proven ability to influence diverse levels of employees including hourly associates, HR teams and Senior Management
  • Self-starter with a strategic viewpoint and the ability to identify issues and challenges as well as analyze issues and recommend solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and be a trusted resource to all
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in HR operations for multiple states preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and experience in a transportation industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to travel locally and up to 20% travel within the United States
