Volt is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work on-site with our client in Moline, IL as a contingent position expected to last approximately two years.Job responsibilities for this position include:• Providing support and basic trouble shooting for current production operations, assisting assembly operators and module leaders with initial training and certification of operator assembly assignments.• Verification that proper assembly methods continue to be executed.• Root cause investigation and resolution of production quality problems.• Creation and communication of operator work instructions for changes.• Representation at daily production and quality meetings.• Completion of work center process audits.• Participation in SERA safety audits.• Participation in Continuous Improvement teams, supporting improvement projects focused in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency.
Job RequirementsThis position is located in Moline, IL. Candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense.• Candidate will have a degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience as well as a background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).•Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools. Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities as well as an understanding of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).•Additional Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality.•Less than 1 year experience in the follow: Project management and business planning; Small strategic projects or larger tactical projects with medium complexity; Engineering tools, systems and databases; Line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
