Job Description

We are recruiting for a PDMS Business Analyst to join our growing team in Arlington.  Candidate will be working under the direction of the Manager to retrieve data results from PharMerica data warehouse using data query tools and software application (SQL based LTC400 data mined using Brio queries/COGNOS/Excel) or other web based data sources.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Works with Director of PDMS and account management to create monthly per diem reviews and maintain CRM database.
  • Works with Director to create internal PharMerica reports used for financial analysis and/or modeling required to establish preferred product positioning for contract evaluations
  • Completes monthly internal reporting documents to assess market share movement, trends and opportunities
  • Conducts preliminary financial analysis for Manager used to establish cost savings opportunities or formulary management positioning for the Department
  • Conducts product research at the direction of the Utilization Management Director to investigate specific utilization related issues and/or cost containment opportunities
  • Works under the direction of Manager with other corporate teams such as Operations, Sales or Inventory Logistics to support the analysis of financial impact to corporate P&L due to market factors or regulatory changes
  • Performs regular analysis to ensure data integrity within PMC/s reporting systems and performs ad hoc reporting as required
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field – a combination of education and work experience will be considered
  • High Proficiency with Excel – Mandatory (advanced macros/modeling within Excel, pivot tables, etc)
  • Minimum of 2 years in data management/mining, accounting, finance or similar field
  • 1-2 years in related field (pharmaceutical, insurance or health care data analysis)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize accordingly
  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
