Position Summary:
The Manager manages the team that performs quality reporting and quality analysis within the medical affairs environment, including development, implementation, reporting, and presentation of medical affairs informatics quality data. Leads the development, strategy and coordinates across business and technical teams to ensure all data quality initiatives meet strategic objectives. This individual has primary management responsibility, including financial/budget management and control of project costs.
This position works closely with the medical affairs in determining how informatics can meet the quality initiative and project needs of the medical affairs team, then translates these needs into program requirements and designs. Individuals in this job are responsible for all phases of the medical affairs informatics quality initiative and project development, providing technical expertise and direction and functioning as systems integrator intermediaries between business intelligence and the medical affairs team. The Manager manages senior level analysts and lower level analysts who constantly search for creative ways to better support the medical affairs informatics quality reporting needs, in part by capitalizing on emerging medical reporting trends and tools and is responsible for providing leadership facilitating a customer-centric, collegial approach to decision-making and project implementation. Manages and supervises staff comprising the Medical Affairs Informatics Quality Team. Regularly and customarily exercises discretionary powers and independent judgment that directly supports DHI mission and goals.
