Job Description Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Sales Engineer for their Milwaukee, Wisconsin (WI) location.The Sales Engineer has primary responsibility for growing the company's revenues through the acquisition of new customers, developing existing clients, and retaining key accounts as part of an integrated team approach to selling engineered products in a B2B environment. The successful individual must be goal oriented and possess high levels of individual initiative, driven to meet and exceed client expectations through a sales cycle that can last anywhere from two months to two years. He or she must also be able to network effectively internally, with customer service, engineering, operations, and other internal constituencies in order to communicate and satisfy customer needs and efficiently implement the company's go-to-market strategies. In addition, the sales engineer must be able to interact effectively and develop relationships with customer buying influences in engineering, purchasing, and C-level staff.Kforce Inc. Job RequirementsThe following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise:
  • 3 - 5years of successful sales experience in an outside or field sales capacity with at least two years of experience selling an engineered or technical product
  • Excellent communication skills to include written, verbal, and presentation
  • Prior experience selling engineered rubber products with a preference for oil and grease seals in particular highly preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must
  • Experience in the automotive, off-road, industrial, fluid power, or aerospace and defense markets strongly preferred
  • Experience selling to OEMs or Tier I suppliers in any of the above markets strongly preferred
  • Experience with ACT! CRM software a plus
Requirements:
  • Travel 25 - 50% depending on customer needs and requirements
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license
