Job Description
The Database Analyst (DBA 5) position is part of CORE's Data Development Group within the Consumer Lending Technology team.Daily activities could include any/all of the following: • Provides high technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, development,implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-classdatabases • Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/database managementinitiatives. • Consults with and advises senior management and multiple clients on highimpact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction • Serves as a consultant on Oracle e-business related technological issues • Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff • Perform Database functions based on Oracle 11g databases includingperformance tuning • Perform Infrastructure support of various Oracle Database concepts, including butnot limited to: connections, load balancing, failover, data guard, ASM, SQL tuning,scheduling • Provide on-call support for production environment: including running patch, bug fixscripts, routine maintenance • Install DBMS software and database patches • Analyze and implement archiving, backup and monitoring strategies • Provide proactive monitoring of the database instances, and take preventive stepsto ensure high availability • Create/maintain documentation of database installations and other DBMprocesses • Partner with development teams to create a high volume transaction system • Recommend best practice SQL tuning approaches to development groups • Research and design database/infrastructure solutions for scalability based onbusiness requirementsThis is an exciting group that is every changing and growing. Job Requirements
* Basic Qualifications:
7+ years database design and administration experience.
