Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Monitoring Engineer in American Fork, Utah.Description:Looking for an individual who has hands on experience in implementing monitoring tools using Zabbix, Nagios and other enterprise tools.Education and Experience Required:
Technical Diploma in Information Technology (System Admin) / Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of IT industry experience

Job Requirements
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Expertise with various flavors of Linux (preferably RedHat Enterprise and CentOS)
Experience in monitoring tools and log processing (Zabbix, Nagios, Splunk)
Hands on experience in setting up health check for web app monitors and alerts for servers, applications, databases, web services, virtualization and generating availability reports
Exposure to automated deployment and configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet)
Systems programming and general scripting tasks (python, ruby, bash)
Good understanding of relational databases preferably in MySQL for proactive database monitoring and troubleshooting
Collaborate with BizOps & DevOps to define health checks and alerts for app monitoring
