This leader will be accountable for delivering strong results in the areas of turn times, productivity, customer loyalty, and management of risk through high quality of work and customer experience.Responsible for managing lending activities for multiple larger business units or departments with team members in multiple locations.Functions include:• Leading and coaching underwriters in a judgmental decisioning environment in line with WFHM lending philosophy, approving loans with expanded lending authorities.• Ensuring conformity with bank policies and procedures.• Monitoring of delinquency, loss and risk rating accuracy.• Assisting relationship managers with structuring, pricing and documentation of individual loan transactions.• Monitoring and reviewing staff loan underwriting performance.• Planning, organizing and directing managers and staff in accomplishing business goals.• Managing on-going partner relationships.• May be responsible for preparing or reviewing reports provided to senior management regarding underwriting and pipeline performance.• May also be responsible for reviewing and approving workout strategies for individual problem loans.• This leader must maintain strong working relationships with sales, Retail fulfillment leaders, and other key business partners without compromising compliance or standards for quality which may include coaching conversation with these partners.
