Director, Long-Term Care

Directs the UMC's performance in designated WV programs as provided through the Bureau for Medical Services.  Programs include:  Intellectual/Developmental Disability Waiver; Aged & Disabled Waiver; Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver; Personal Care; Nursing Facility and Take Me Home - West Virginia.  Actively participates in overseeing Operational functions for designated programs and continually monitors the UMC's performance of contract deliverables as well as internal/corporate expectations.

  • Effectively directs programs through objectives and goals assigned for contract compliance.  Monitors metrics and daily operations to ensure success
  • Collaborate with Program Leaders, including other Directors and Mangement Teams and corporate support team to improve processes, determine training needs and improvement opportunities
  • Provides leadership and supervision to staff assigned to the Program, including Quality Managment, Utilization Management, Retrospective Reviews, Provider Training/Education, Consumer Training/Education, Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting and Technical Assistance to ensure compliance with standards and expectations
  • Partners with Mangement and the Corporate Team for the enhancement of the RFP, new RFP cycles and related new business
  • Work with Corporate IT to design and enhance web-based systems
  • Demonstrates and manages department customer services at all levels
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Human Services or administrative field is required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years progressive management experience and demonstrated working knowledge of management and human resources practices, policies and principals
  • Minimum 2 years experience in WV Long-Term Care Programs
  • Must evidence an understanding of business and program, issues, processes and outcomes in related programs. 
  • Must have exemplary written and verbal comunications skills - including public speaking
  • Must evidence flexibility and the ability to develop, implement, evaluate and adjust plans to obtain established goals
  • Knowledge of MS office required; experience with Long-Term Care CareConnection, strongly desired
