Job Description Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst for their Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI) location. Our client is searching for an Analyst to work in their FP&A department for a 3-6 month project.Responsibilities:

Coordination of key dates and distribution of calendars to business users

Detailed knowledge of plan and forecast system

Prepare consolidated plan and forecast reports for executive review

Coordination of cost centers plan and forecast

Identify areas to improve the effectiveness of our financial planning activities and strive to streamline processes and improve to

Establish key partnerships with counterparts throughout the organization

Corporate Cost Center analysis

Analyze Order, Shipment and Backlog Data - coordinate with operating groups and prepare consolidated analysis into executive summary format

Perform report testing for templates / tools developed in the finance area

Support Indirect Procurement team by assisting in tracking quarterly savings

Prepare supporting analysis and reporting that will improve management's ability to evaluate key assumptions, trends and changes

Create clear and concise presentations and supporting materials

Support special projects as they arise

Job RequirementsThe successful Financial Analyst applicant will possess the following requirements (required unless noted otherwise):

Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
2-3 years work experience in accounting or finance
Strong demonstrated PowerPoint and Excel experience
Systems experience (SAP, BPS, etc.) preferred
Knowledge of accounting and performance management
