Job Description: Systems Engineer – Wireless Systems Integration & Support

ATK seeks Systems Engineers to provide integration, test, and support for cutting edge 3G/4G wireless mission programs.  Successful candidates will conduct system integration and support activities for multiple deployments involving the installation of ATK solutions at customer sites or integration of ATK solutions with enterprise systems.  Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct system integration and support activities for specific implementations, working directly with the customer to define requirements, install and/or integrate ATK solutions, and provide ongoing support.
  • Represent ATK to the integration and end-user customers, ensuring that ATK solutions meet the needs of their customers and providing responsive support post delivery
  • Conduct on-site installation, integration, and test activities for integrated hardware and software solutions including the development and maintenance of build systems for a complex suite of products spanning multiple Linux distributions and releases
  • Maintain working relationships with system users to manage the resolution to system issues and to obtain user feedback that can be incorporated back into the baseline system configurations 

    • Basic Requirements

  • B.S. in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with the systems lifecycle with emphasis on requirements development, interface definition, testing, integration, and user support
  • Experience with hardware and software system installation, configuration, and transition into operational environments
  • Willingness to travel periodically (typically 2 to 3 day trips in support of customer site activities with frequency no more than monthly)
  • Minimum of three years experience managing projects and programs
  • Minimum of three years experience in software systems engineering
  • Ability to acquire a U.S. Government security clearance (which usually requires U.S. citizenship); Current clearance strongly preferred 

    • Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of 3G / 4G wireless protocols
  • Experience with CMake build systems, Python, C++, Linux, and GNU Radio
  • Knowledge of OSSIE, GNU Radio, or other SDR Frameworks
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing Hardware / Software Systems
  • Experience with national intelligence system architectures
  • Experience with project management including team leadership, task management, schedule and budget management
  • Experience with business development including opportunity identification & qualification, pursuit & capture, and proposal development
